The student had a Visa extension to work for a year in America, but was not able to obtain employment. The student can not safely return to Nigeria. Nigeria is one of the most dangerous countries in Africa because of crime, terrorism, ethnic tensions, kidnapping, and civil unrest.

Bridges Idaho considers this student a legal refugee. Bridges subsidizes this student’s housing and living expenses and helped him obtain a temporary job.

This student lived in campus housing last year, but had to move when he ended his studies at ISU. Bridges Idaho helped him to find a small attic apartment in Pocatello and subsidizes his rent until he can become self-sufficient.

Donate to Bridges Idaho - Avenues for Hope today to support this student and other international residents of southeast Idaho.

*For security reasons, the student’s name, actual image, and other identifying information are not shared here. Please contact a representative of Bridges Idaho or our hotline if you would like to know more.
